Ross LaPietra has spent his career helping people understand and take control of their credit. He has led Credit Saint, a credit repair company, since it was founded in September 2007. Before that, he owned a mortgage company, where he saw how much a credit report shapes what people can borrow and what they pay. He also owns Bolster, a free financial wellness app.
Credit without shame
Most people with credit problems got there through a job loss, a medical bill, a divorce or a mistake that isn't theirs. Ross's view is that nobody should feel embarrassed to look at their credit report or ask for help.
